ORGANIZATIONAL COACHING

Improve Executive Functioning

Executive functions like planning, organization, and time management have been deemed better predictors of school readiness and academic achievement than IQ. Boosting these skills can make all the difference for struggling students.

Who Benefits from Organizational Coaching?

Everyone! Executive functioning skills are tremendously important for success in school, in careers, and in living independently. Organizational coaching can be especially helpful for neurodivergent individuals (ADHD, autism), who may struggle with executive functions. Incoming high school and college students also benefit from the added organizational support.

Organizational Support for Transitions

School transitions can be particularly challenging. The leaps from middle school to high school and from high school to college pose new and daunting demands on students. Organizational coaching helps support students through the transitions by implementing systems and strategies to stay well-organized and well-prepared.

How Organizational Coaching Works

After identifying academic challenges and goals, I work collaboratively with each student to develop and implement new organizational systems. This may include customized calendars, schedules, reminders and task lists designed in the context of a student's real-time demands. As we continue building better habits, I also introduce new strategies to stay organized, manage time wisely, and regulate emotions (especially as related to academic anxiety).
